Which School District are you in?
We are in the Hillsboro School District for Jackson School Elementary but are also right down the street from Mooberry Elementary.

How do you incorporate your beliefs into your childcare?
We are Christian, we love Christ, and therefore live by his word. Some ways we incorporate our belief into our childcare is by praying at meals, at naptime & for children (or adults) if they get hurt or aren't feeling good. During reading time, we may read scripture from the Word. We emphasize teaching: Christian values, positive morals, respect, and help to build a solid foundation knowing who God is and who they are in Him; so they have a true & real relationship with Him. It is true that if they have God, they have everything. We use every opportunity to teach our precious little ones.

What are your Hours?
We are open 7:15am-530pm.
If you have needs outside of these hours please make arrangements with Christina
by calling 503-358-9258  or email: christinarauschert@yahoo.com
I  am somewhat flexable and try to meet the needs of the each person, if possible.

What makes your program different from others?
What sets us apart from other Childcare Providers is that not only are we an in-home "Christian" Childcare; but unlike most childcare providers, as parents interview me, I am also interviewing them. My purpose in doing this, is to make sure it is the best possible fit for everyone-your family and mine. As well as, wanting to make sure that as I open up my home, I know whom I am allowing in, whom my kids are playing with, what type of relationships will be built, etc. My main reasons for running my own childcare are so I may to stay at home with my family and to be the one imparting into my children, yet at the same time having an amazing opportunity to be a part and instill into the lives of others. I also view what I do, more as a ministry than a typical job. So by interviewing potential families, parents may have the peace of mind that their children will not only be in good care, with a loving, uplifting, positive environment; but also be surrounded by good influences and will be able to build those healthy friendships you want them to have...You know, the ones that are like iron sharpening iron.

Do you have any pets?
At this time we are a pet-free home.

Do you offer financial aid; take DHS or other State paid programs?

There is a program through DHS (Department of Human Services) in Oregon that helps families who
qualify, to receive financial support for childcare needs. This could lower your payments significantly, when looking for childcare. However at this time we are not accepting DHS as a form of payment.

What Is the 'Growing Kids God's Way' class you have taken?
Growing Kids God’s Way
is a comprehensive values-based parenting curriculum. It is a class, with a leader, small group of parents, biblical based materials are used during class such as the 'Growing Kids God's Way' book & DVD. It helps train parents how to raise their child(ren) in the ways of Christ. We watch the informative DVD, go over material, ask/answer questions, and have a strong faith/parent support between us. I personally find this helpful because I not only use the skills I receive with my kids but I can take the skills I learn into all aspects of life. It is great to have peace of mind to know how to handle situations, before they happen. For more information on the GKGW visit the website by clicking on the Growing Kids icon below.

Do you have other questions that we haven't answered? Let us know, others may have the same questions as you and we want to be sure to provide as much information about us as possible. You may also contact us, via email or phone; we would  be more than happy to go over any questions you may have.
